It is a truth universally acknowledged that in life one must either “go big” or “go home.” We at Hume take issue with the reductive binary proffered by this otherwise catalyzing truism; in short, we intend to go both.

It’s with great pleasure that we invite you to our RENT PARTY: a fundraiser to support the expansion of Hume Chicago to its BIG NEW HOME! Join us on Saturday, March 12th from 7-10:30 for a celebration of Chicago’s emerging artists. Look forward to:

-Performances by three local musical phenoms: Richard Album, Violet Mice, & Fastness!

-A silent auction of engaging—& affordable—works by Hume’s friends and former exhibitors!

-A raffle of goods & goodies from local businesses!

-A large-scale immersive installation that will morph, by your hands, throughout the night!

-Food and drinks!

-A loosely-themed apartment party environment that may or may not include an opportunity to Netflix-and-Chill

With your support, Hume will soon begin looking forward to:

-Materials for a new movable wall to hang work on, and to divide our studio/workshop space from our exhibition space!

-Wall paint and painting supplies!

-New flooring for our storefront exhibition space!

-Moving costs for furniture, etc!

-All the other hidden moving expenses we’ve yet to consider!

$10 at the door // infinite gratitude in our collective institutional heart. We hope to see you there.
